Full Stack Android Developer

We’re a team of bright, driven, and experienced developers and product designers looking for a Full Stack Android Developer. We are specializing in building complex applications for healthcare which will help people with health issues to get the treatment when they need it. The system ingests a wide range of data from curated sensors and sources, transforming it through machine intelligence into clinical insights for medical professionals to respond in real-time. You will work on the Android hub for this platform which will need to communicate with the latest devices, properly package the data and get the data to our platform in a user-friendly manner. You will help our engineering team of web developers and back-end engineers build our core cloud platform and connect it with our Mobile application and loT devices.  
 
 
In this role you will:
 
  • Collaborate on cloud architecture and mobile application structure
  • Drive for key implementations and releases of all major features and follow best practices for clean code
  • Understand what it takes to engineer features that can be scalable and resilient
  • Build a Mobile application that pulls, processes and delivers data from multiple devices
  • Have a “hacker” mentality to figure out how to work with devices that many not have clean APIs or SDKs. 
  • Integrate the platform with 3rd party services
  • Support big-data and machine learning tools and infrastructure
  • Assist in writing internal documentation for your features and systems
  • Be responsible for the planning, scoping, design and implementation of new features
  • Familiarity with serverless application development on AWS is a plus
  • Desirable if you have worked with medical/fitness tracking devices
 
 
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
 
  • 2+ years of Android development with proven applications that we can review
  • Good knowledge of Kotlin and Java
  • Knowledge of software project management best practices and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills 
  • Proactive and self-motivated personality 
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines while keeping a cool demeanor
  • A passionate team worker
